Kate qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1996. She studied a BSc(Hons) in Speech Sciences at University College London. Kate specialises in working with adults with aphasia alongside her work with children with speech, language and communication needs.
Kate began her career as a paediatric therapist with a specialism in the field of Special Educational Needs. In 2001, Kate began working with adult clients with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties; within a District General Hospital and in the community. Over the last 17 years, Kate has continued to work with adults and children as an Independent Speech and Language Therapist.
Kate is passionate about providing quality speech and language therapy to clients in remote and rural locations. This has inspired her work; developing the use of technology and Skype to provide therapy. Kate is committed to exploring new, innovative therapies and keeping up to date with current research.
Kate works from her base in the North West Highlands of Scotland and reaches clients across Europe and beyond.
Kate is a registered member of RCSLT, ASLTIP, HCPC and Disclosure Scotland.
